My friend was telling me a plot of land in the city centre was selling for $6000 in 2006, last week it went for $30,000 and rising.
There is gonna be some serious investment from diaspora and other parts of Somalia/Horn.

Now that the rightful owners are established...expect peace and prosperity for all insha`llah.

original dervish, I am hearing rumours that Kenyan-Lamu port staff are on their way to Kismayu to train Jubbalanders on how to manage an efficient port, I also heard they are bringing alot of equipment. The port is set to begin operations soon. hopefully the HAG lead govt gets nothing.

Grandpa......the Kenyans have a plan to bring J/Land into their sphere of influence, militarily, politically and economically.
There will be new road, sea and air links to better conduct commerce between the two.
The Jubbaland region has the potential to be as productive, if not more, as the central highlands in agricultural production.

Hassan Sheikh and his crew think they can write a few letters and get the Kenyans to abandon J/Land.
They don`t realise this Kenyan plan has already been cleared by US/UK, indeed they are even paying for it`s implementation.

All I can suggest is for people to travel and invest in J/Land, it is your country and everyone is welcome.
Like the old pioneers used to say...."Head South young man!" :D :som:
