^ Your speaking as if the Sheikh comes from another religion, I have failed to see where does he go outside the boundaries of the deen, where does it say in the Qur'an or the Hadith that to value spiritual insight is haram. You basically believe in what a Sheikh told you and not what Allah and his prophet has.

There is a quote from one of the scholars which I don't remember the name of, but he said something like do not sit with the people of bid3a. Plus the prophet (saw) said this deen is a matter of knowledge so be careful who you take you're knowledge from. But then again people like the above shouldn't bad mouth a shiekh who has more knowledge than them concerning certain matters of the deen. No matter his sect he still posses more knowledge than most of us if not all of us here. Plus respect peoples believes, to them is their path and to you is yours.
That is a saying of a tabi Mohamed ibn Sareen and not the prophet pbuh. Well said

Nope I didn't speak of him as if he is from a different religion, I acknowledge that he is a Muslim Sufi, but I'm a Muslim Sunni and although we are both Muslims and believe in Allah and His prophet we have different views on how to practice Islam. I'm not believing what a sheikh told me, I believe what Allahs messenger told me in regards to how to worship Allah. How some sufis do 3ibada is not how our prophet (saw) taught us to do 3ibada. Anyway don't turn this into an argument I'm not bad mouthing your beliefs, although I believe it consists of innovation but you're free to believe what you want just as I am, and just as you might not agree with what I believe, I don't so much agree with yours. But at the end of the day only Allah can judge us.

I dont understand what exactly you mean sister. Sufis have always been narrating hadith mastering fiqh and of course memorizing the quran.
Back home we have been sufis for almost 1000 years. In the 70's Somalia saw a tide change wit the rise of the salafi's or to put it bluntly the wahaabis.

But still there numbers are nothing compared to the sufis living in somalia.

Lets learn our history :blessed:
