I never paid attention to the chopper but that is an Apache...lol that picture is definitely not Somalia but maybe the choppers Sahal talks about are different. With the exception of a few gulf countries, Taiwan and Japan, Apaches are not sold to anybody else, not even other US allies. If Somalia were to receive Attack Choppers, they would most likely receive the Russian made Mi 24 that is in use by most developing countries. There is also a very likely chance Turkey might supply Somalia with its own unique Augusta Attack Helicopters which are basically replicas of the Apache.

You're the most confused individual in snet. Marba meel isku tuur, when it's a topic about Somaliland, you'll say ''All roads lead to Xamar'' and ''Iidoor will never get recognition'' but in this topic you're downplaying the achievements and the commitment of people who are sacrificing their lives. Take your Darood agenda somewhere else and honestly you should be banned for your own good.

Don`t inject the iiddoor into this thread.....they`re an irrelevance in Somali politics.
As far as this thread goes....I have offered an honest opinion....if you can`t handle it...go hang!

:ohhh: all the roads lead to xamar! i missed that part

i posted for him before a link that the defence minister says yes we can have tanks. does he knows more than him?
amisom legally cant operate on helicopters neither are allowed them to be a navy but they are now operating on behalf of the govts security forces. we can even use other counties but we are now concentrating to have tanks bc they are more expensive than helicopters and as egypt said in the last arab meeting in doha the took the contract of rebuilding the somali army with qatar funding the contract, qatar has already paid for egypt for their first arms shipment also the US spokeswoman has said they are giving somali weapons and would build a professional somali army.
all i can say to OD wait them until you see them in the front war :D

You shameless d.hillo, take your hatred, jealousy and Darood bitterness somewhere else, life must be hard because you're irrelevant everywhere, in Xamar, in Somaliland and even in the so called Jubbaland.

South Sudan recieved 10 Mi-17 Attack Helicopters 6 months into their independence last year. Its more than probable that by the time the arms embargo is lifted in full 10 months later, Somalia would be receiving choppers and counter-insurgency aircraft seeing as that it is a volatile terrorist hot spot. OD get out of here with your negative views ,they aren't the truth, just sad negative opinions.

you can lease out an mi-24 with pilot and fuel for less than $3000 a day, the brokers will quote $10,000 but they will go down to $3000
at prices so low, why not lease out 30, there are thousands of ex soviet pilots.

even broke ass somaliland was planning on actually buying a couple of mi-24's last year but the ones we were interested in were bought by someone else .

so in my opinion helicopters are no big deal.

Waab yaabe. $3000 for a piloted Mi-8 is still a good deal, you still have a gunship in the air and that's pretty much the goal.
