A lot of person's self-image, self-esteem, self-respect can be related to how they view their own race/ethnicity. This is the reason why so many somalis who have inferiority complex issues who lie to themselves and others and say they are related to arabs or pretend to act like madows. It's because they don't want anything to do with somalia. Matter of fact, there a few few prideful somalis in the west that are my age.Thankfully, I was raised by great parents who taught to be resolute and confident in myself and my abilities no matter what. They helped shaped me into the wholesome and confident person I am today

I wouldn't say Somalis are inherently stupid (I'd actually argue the contrary), but I would say Somalis are inherently stubborn and hard-headed, which isn't helping Somalia move forward.

Somalis are not inherently unintelligent. The stupidiest Somali from the country is the smarter than the average American or the rest of the African continent. Somalis only issue is--the are like your child who is smart and has so much potential, but never lives it up because he is lazy and self destructive. Somalis issue is they are traditionalist. do you understand how incorrect your statement is? the stupidest somali is MUCH dumber than the average american but probably smarter than the average african i will agree with you on that. If you are so tradionalist that you aren't willing to assimilate into modern times than you are stupid. simple as that. Imagine thousands of years ago when the wheel was invented. Somalis are the persons who didn't want to accept the wheel into their lives despite despite how useful it is. This is analogous to how somalis don't want to accept a functioning government into their lives.
