Passing the law, or making it official makes the sin legit. It enables society to change its thoughts on the subject. Before the law was passed-- gays were not validated. They were marginalized, and that can work in the benefit of a society. But voting and allowing the sanctity of marriage be desecrated in such an abominable manner will bring wrath a society that is blessed economically or otherwise. That is the instinctive feeling I have.
And yes--Yohanes that will answer your question. I do feel this formality will bring Sodom and Gamora wrath upon our beautiful state. That is how it was destroyed to begin with, when the society became sexually malignant and aggressive, it got demolished. I am sure homosexuality existed in Sodom and Gamore for a long time before, but they got destroyed when they aggressively wanted to violate the angelic guests of the prophet. This was a collective evil intent that was met with a powerful wrath of a one blow destruction. That is what I fear for our Minnesota! The moral of the story is--modesty and voicing what is sin, is good for society. A general or 'popular' consensus to condone a sin is not healthy for a society in general nor for the fabric of family sanctity.
