Nepotism is favoritism granted to friends and family regardless of merit. If you are qualified, then it's just a matter of being well connected. Malik has a masters degree and is more than qualified for the job. On the other hand, if he was a barber with no qualifications, it would be a different story.

I maybe mistaken, but was this guy one of the 20 people that Cabdi Nur took with him from Columbus when he became the minister?? But again Maasha Allaah, he seems to be a hard working human being. If he indeed was a barber this shows that he earned his money through halaal way..Wallaahay two thumps for him..

Nepotism isn't a somali phenomena, it happens worldwide. I wouldn't call this particular case nepotism.

I know abdi nur was backing him to become an mp and he did but the list was changed after a week by a minister from his clan the one after abdi nuur because the guy was going to vote for his boss sh sharif anyways his clan voted for hassan sheekh and was againist the minister and sharif.
Abdi nuur is a professor so he only takes with him an educated guys and I guess this guy was the only one from his clan.
Malik writes every thing, he also gives interviews to the world magazines like the english middle east about the the govts policy when him and the president are in abroad. Kamal gutaale is the boss he is from sudan and malaysia so they depend on malik

Apparently when some dude come to Columbus he asked for resumes, then when he went back he called this dude. The interesting was though this dude happens to hail from the same sub sub sub sub clan of the gov official.. Bingo..there is the dirty nepotism
