There is not a gobol called saaxil, there is however, an area called saaxil.Northwind wrote:Awdal waa gobol ee magaalo maaha.
Saaxil sidoo kale waa gobol.

I think you're mixing two names with each other, there is a city in liban zone which is dooloow and there is a region wardheer which has two names.Aristocat wrote:Wardheer and doollo are two separate areas.MarsinQorahay wrote:wardheer- Doollo

BerBera is an ancient trade city and hosts the second biggest port in Somalia if DhuusoMareeb can headquarter a region I dont see why Berbera cant. LogicAristocat wrote:There is not a gobol called saaxil, there is however, an area called saaxil.Northwind wrote:Awdal waa gobol ee magaalo maaha.

No I am let me clarify this for you again whilst wardheer is within the doollo area, the town of wardheer itself is not has never been called doollo. It is like saying the city of muqdisho is called banadir.MarsinQorahay wrote:I think you're mixing two names with each other, there is a city in liban zone which is dooloow and there is a region wardheer which has two names.Aristocat wrote:Wardheer and doollo are two separate areas.MarsinQorahay wrote:wardheer- Doollo

Doolow and Doollo.
Sxb I agree that berbera is an ancient city and it should have been honoured with a regional status from the begin. But today as thing stand there is no viable region that can be called saaxil, it is not geographical possible. Unless you also think that daadmadheedh, salaal, saraar, cayn, badhan, gabilay and ceel-afweyn are also true regional areas.hargaysaay wrote:BerBera is an ancient trade city and hosts the second biggest port in Somalia if DhuusoMareeb can headquarter a region I dont see why Berbera cant.
