I fell asleep at the wheel on the way home from work.
The lights turned red and I drifted off...I woke to honking of horns and angry motorists. :?

^ Next time take a nap in your car before you start driving or pull over. Don't risk it.

First time I passed out was when the smell of foox was too much, hotboxing in fadhiga is not a good idea.

I just wanted to get home.
If I had a nap it could take hours.
I washed my face with cold water and jumped in my car.

You`d better get a Fatwa.....because you will not be able to pray the salat correctly.
I had a friend from Finland and he told me they use to pray according to another sunrise-sunset timetable.

my friend walaahi from 1992 to 1994 i use to live city called Kiruna in sweden whichs located in North pole circel. from 27 may until 19 August The sun never goes down.. the sun is above the horizont 24 hours.. those years 1992 to 1994 ramadaan did not come in the summer.. but actually i was Young guy and i was very religios. you know salaat time in those months from 27 may to middle of august you Pray Salaat makhrib and Ishaaa and Subax same time all of them and yes the Sun is still up.

you pray makhrib and after it ishaa and after it salaat subax(fajr) all of them while the sun is above the horizont.... about fatwas actually i dont follow fatwas from big bearded Sheikhs who Believe the Earth is flat..... i follow my own Fatwas.. whichs follow your heart..

So if your praying Magrib, Isha and fajr while the sun is still above the horizen, why can`t you break your fast during daylight.
Unless your a religious scholar I would consult with those more knowledgeable.
Following your heart is not enough.
Having said that....everybody must decide for himself/herself.

of course if the sun never goes down then you should break your fasting while the sun is still above the horizont wather you want or not...

and so called scholars actually scholars did not even know that there places on this planet where some months of the year the sun never goes down... first when qaxootis like us looking better lifes when we come this places and after first time 30 years ramadaan fall in to summer time so called scholars start hearing that there are places on this planet that the sun never goest down some month of the year. scholars has no clue that such place exist so how can they make fatwa when they did not even knew pole circel and the land of midnight sun...

no religios scriptures talks about this cuz they thought qoraxda inay meel waliba ka dhacdo waana sida ay ku timid waqtiyada salaada in cishaa and maqrib la tukado qoraxda markeey dhacdo haddii aad tukatana cishaha qoraxda oo soo jeedo salaadaada waxba kama jiro.. xitaaa waxaa jira hadiith waxaa jira oranaya calaamadaha aakhiro samaanka waa qoraxda oo aanan dhaceynin.. laakiin wuxuu hadiithkaa ilaaway inay jirto meel aysan qoraxda ka dhicin waqti sanadka ka mid ah ilaa dunidan ay jirtay millions of years before ...

Brother....the Quran is for all time and all places.
I say again respectfully, consult with those whom possess religious knowledge.
Pride and arrogance are among the attributes of shaytan.

we are not talking about quran.. we are talking about so called scholars and scriptures... scholars did not knew that there are places on this planet which the sun never goes down in the summer time... first time they Heard about such Place exist is when muslim qaxootis like us come in to those countries and start living there...

and again if s Sheikh and scholar does not even know that a Place which the sun never goes down in the summer time exist then how can he be knowledgeable how to pray in salaat maqrib and ishaa or break your fast while the sun is still above the horizont.... no he can not be....

its about innovations. you have to innovate. like breaking your fasting while the sun is above the horizont, and probably no religios book ever allows that, but again all religios books were written in middle east therefore they did not knew either...

innovation= allowing to pray salaat cishaaa while the sun is still above the horizont... it is innovations and very a radical Changes of old praying time...

innovations was big part of islam through out history.... and it still continues today.... whole fasting in ramadaan was based on the sun comes up you stop eating and drinking when the sun goes down you start eating and drinking... and that base of sun up to sun down does not any more valid cuz the sun is up 24/7.. yes thats major innovations my friend andit's necessary-

There is no doubt that living in the high north puts you in a unique position.
However, I wouldn`t just make things up as you go along....because it feels right.

ps so when are praying mag-rib and breaking your fast?
Is it at the same times as the other local Muslims, or does everybody have their own times?
