Yes, Somalia is assuredly diverse. There are several different ethnic groups living in the country besides Somalis proper.

In my opinion, what's even more interesting is the diversity within the Somali ethnic group itself. It's substantial. There are physical anthropology studies dating back to the colonial period that show this, with explanations as to where that diversity came from in the first place.
