Xasid sanidaa :lol:

Weli ma aanan isticmaalin. I am going to replace it and use it once to buy myself something indulgent before I cancel it. Try everything that doesn't kill you or get you in Hell at least once. Live on the edge Twist! You are about to fall off anyway

Karl the man Marx wrote in Das Kapital;

"Capital is money, capital is commodities.... By virtue of it being value, it has acquired the occult ability to add value to itself. It brings forth living offspring, or, at the least, lays golden eggs."

Homo economicus dictates that wants and not needs drive human beings.

That is why there is a market for credit cards.

Jasmine, I will make sure you get some royalty. It is easy to publish books nowadays.

P.s. there is nothing called islamic banks/halaal banks. As I mentioned on several occassions, the global nature of economic activities means the global financial market is integrated.

I wasn't thinking about royalties it's your work. But now that you mention it wouldn't it be nice to have a publishing house in Somalia

BTW, Jasmine, on the subject of entrepreneurship: what do you think of starting a financial advisory centre for somalis in the UK? There are many somalis who have their savings under the pillow while others have invested in questionable enterprises in Dubai, Nairobi etc.

The Ayuuto money should be placed in good savings portfolios.

When I log on to my NetBank (my internet banking) account, I get a message from my bank once every week or so telling me I am eligible to get a 6 month free interest credit card and a good low rate after that (or something along that line) and I was never tempted to even consider having one. I am comtemplating to change my middle name into 'Frugal' adigana waxaad leedahay, "Live on the edge." Labo kala bariday kala war la'! :lol:

We could give them advice on how to invest their money; we need a dozen or so investors and through word of mouth, we could get many clients.

After a few years, we could become fund managers and invest their portfolios in in Bonds, hedge funds, stocks etc (discretely of course).

Don't need one, even if I did, I wouldn't get it. Spending more than you can is never good.

Go on, give us a flavour of what your idea of good savings portfolios are?
