Go to court and change your name. My dad did it in the 1990s to make his last name our family name.. rather than his awoowe's name.

You can change your name for a fee. The process takes a few months. However, you should consult a sheikh or scholar to inquire about the permissibility of changing your name for the reason(s) you want to change it.

Personally, the thought of changing my name never crossed my mind, and don't think it will cross for whatever reason.
