Which deep conditioners and leave-ins do you ladies use?
I am still on my staple Vatika egg protein and Elasta deep conditioning but I am bored to death of them. I got an argan oil one which ran out a few months ago it smelt oh so nice I might get a new one.

Please do
I use African Pride oil and leave in and they actually don't have that many chemicals, like the first 5 if not 10 or so ingredients are natural oils. I think I'm going to look for treatments from this line. I've started to do apple cider rinses and it feels silly to then pile on chemicals after.

I use this oil
Smells great and is very moisturizing

I also use another one but can't find its image online. It's a cocoa butter oil w/ olive oil, almond oil, sesame oil, castor oil, and a bunch of other good stuff
Never done apple cider rinses

I use Giovanni shampoos and sometimes Organix, laakin been sheegi maaye I also use some poos w/ parabens and sulfates like Mane n Tail.

My hair was pissing me off it would be frizzy coming out of the shower! That was ridiculous but it was during the heatwave the first couple of weeks of Ramadan there was a lot of humidity so anyway I decided to try out the rinse I'd been toying with the idea for a few months. It's actually not that bad. I did it last night for the second time, it leaves the hair light and I get more volume because it's not weighed down. And best thing is, the smell does not stay in the hair and of course no more frizz

I don't oil my hair AT ALL.

I once in a while do a pre poo(

) using olive oil but that's about it.
Can one just but those oils you guys mentions and just mix them?

Gaska timahayga ka kaca wa

Flippin' cheeses me.
I combat frizz by a) washing out my conditioner w/ cold water, b) drying my hair w/ a clean cotton shirt instead of a towel & c) apply oil on my hair before the leave-in. Works wonders

Plus my hair stays curly as it dries instead of becoming wavy and frizzy
Also, for oil treatments, make sure your hair is damp before adding the oils. Your hair is more absorbant while damp than dry. And if you want the full benefits of oil treatments, leave it in your hair for 7hrs or overnight.
I don't know how I'll feel about apple cider rinses lol but there's a first for everything. I may try it.

A lot of people buy these oils and mix them up some add Shea Butter and make their own creams. I guess it's good not just because you know what's going into it but you can make a personalised product that does what your hair specifically needs.

I'm planning on making my own shea butter moisturizer when it gets chilly. You can use it on both your body and hair but I think I'll just use it on my body

Problem is it goes bad within 2 weeks unless you add a synthetic preservative, which defeats the purpose. This makes it more expensive than "natural" moisturizers sold in stores as you'd have to make a new batch twice a month.

I use whatever works with my hair for the moment. I am not loyal to certain hair products, I kept changing from Pantene to Sunsilk, then got used to la'Oreal for a short time then switched to Vatika. Now I hardly care. I shampoo my hair twice a week and deep condition it like once a week. I oil my hair with olive oil and leave it for like a day then wash it, coz I don't like it when its really. I prefer it partially dry.

I used this oil last year. It's really good. I like how it smells.

Interesting, I didn't know that. I might make a little batch, see how quickly I go through it. The only thing putting me off is deciding on, finding and buying the oils to add to the shea butter.

Deeqa:

You use Pantene and Sunsilk? Heedhe ma is nacday?
BV: Unrefined shea butter on its own is expensive. I already have coconut oil, almond oil, and gycerin at home. I think all I'm missing is the actual shea butter and essential oils like lavender. We'll see. I'll make a thread when it happens inshaAllah.
