GeesiyadiiSoomaaliya,

Sida kama wado and plus you worry about Kalshaale and recovering that barkaad from Hirsi Gaab.

I am simply trying to make things less confusing because I know the brother is new to this game...basically the relationship exists specifically between Cidagale and Reer Isaaq.

Casimadi hore waxa laga so qaday the Tolomooge and that former Isaaq President of the Region killed two birds with one stone. He brought the casimada to an area within the Isaaq whether its peaceful co-existence, war, business...tinaba waxan ku gadhi karna within an hour.

Jidwaaq is the supreme leader of all Cagdheer, the rest don't really count.

Shalayna waxad igu tidhi war orod baadhida wareeji Hawiyeyahow futada madow. Mantana waxaad igu leedahay orod Kalshaale kala wareeg Hirsi Gaab. Bal dhinac uu leexo. Anigu qofna duulan kuma ihi. Laakin dhaqanxumadan qolyihinan Isaaq sheegta, especially the older generation wa embarrassment. How are you going to compare Isaaq to minor sub/sub/sub/sub clans mar walba. Maalin dhaweed baa mid Ahmed Faraah ah ayu wuxu yidhi 'anaago isaaq ah aaya la wareegiya gobolka yaree buuhodle. War ka daa baan ku yidhi, ceebta intaa la'eeg bal eega. Ma Axmed Garaad bay habar jeclo iska ceelin keriweyday, to the point Isaaq oo dhan meesha la soo geliniyo.

Hawdian don't embarrass yourself. Jigjiga wa magaalo Soomaaliyeed. Majorityguna waa qolyahan Darodka sheegta, after that wa Dir aad ka midka tahay. Sidaa ula soco sxb.

The contraband thing is very annoying. People can tolerate
political marginalisation but not an economic one. Business ahaan
How are the Isaaq doing despite the economic control?

You say it will be soon over, How soon? Is there a
change of policy you're talking of because the TPLF isn't going
anytime soon.

Mida kale since your here what of the other Isaaq towns within
Gobolka Jigjiga, e.g. Wajaale, Harta Sheekh etc.
This question still stands sxb

TPLF is working on economic reform policies and will soon start massive privatization which means more economic freedom hopefully. TPLF isn't going anytime soon no doubt and personally I like some of their policies.

The truth is the capitol was moved to Jigjiga by the Ethiopians because Godey was too close the Somali border.

Not really, the main reason was to break the Ogaden powerbase in Godey. Jigjiga is a mixed city with many other minority clans, and is closer to Harar where there is a major military outpost of the EDF. In 1994 when more than 300,000 Amhara were forcibly flown out of Godey and their farms confiscated, this was one of a few final steps along with the bloodbath of assassinations of mayors and governors to consolidate power by the TPLF/EPRDF.

Godey was too dangerous for the government whether be Habeshi officials or none Ogadeni official Somalis. When the issue of changing the capital came up; the Issa wanted Diredawa and insisted strongly on Diredawa but the President thought Jijiga was a better alternative and it was agreed on and Diredawa became a charted city.

Godey was not only close to Southern Somalia but it was in the heart of ONLF country. This transition was one of the things that TPLF/modern Somali Region politics got it right. Had the capital be still in Godey, I would very much be in Hargeisa myself...given hope of the Somali Region.

Jijiga is well deserving place and strategically close to the people who believed in this region from day one. There are still many other issues but I am optimistic and slowly we going to over come many hurdles.

Somali Region today enjoys a lot of freedom but it also lost other freedoms. Back then it was just a free nomadic place but today its not as free but it enjoys Somali rule and that rule is slowly reaching the communities. We cant forever live as free nomads thus I welcome the Jijiga rule.

This is Godey (tuulo)

And this is Jijiga

Jijiga wa la wada dega. Its connected to Djibouti (railway), Hargeisa via Wajale to Diredawa...but Godey??

Ogadens are well known land grabbers. where ever they enter, they start to claim it and believe in there fake claims.

it reminds me of when cagdhere Qaxooti entered to Hiiraan, they started the same old shit propaganda, they said the trees where planted by Sayid Mohammed Xasan in this region and that Hiraan belonged to them. that was the funniest claim p4p in somali history.

The reaction of the tribes in Hiiraan at that moment, :dead:

If this dowlad will not close our borders to the wilderness of Ethiopia and Kenya.. the hawiyeland will be stormed big time. 90% of the population will live on our lands. So we do not wish for Peace iyo dowladnimo unless we secure our borders first.. and insha-allah I will make a new thread about this topic.. join me there
