Accepting the truth without it bothering you suggests confidence, a superiority complex of a sort one might say. Looking at the truth, a description of you and feeling bothered by it might hint at an inferiority complex. Were crazy in our own magnificent way, we should accept it, work with it and not give a crap. If we seek to model ourselves on a more "supposedly" civilized people or trending and becoming cultures, that is actually being inferior.
