The way he would try to match my enthusiasm when I had something exciting to share. I had to literally tell him to shut up, so I could talk.
He always had this way of making me feel more than good enough. I never had to prove anything to him. He liked me just as I was. I didn't have to change one thing about myself.
And despite the 7 hour timezone difference, he would stay up all throughout his morning to talk to me.
I left him a voicemail once. The next time we talked, he said he listened to it about a dozen times.
I would act out different accents to see which one he liked best. He liked it best when I tried to be cute.

UK is 5 hours ahead of us on the East Coast.
Two hours more means you're in Mountain Time.

I told him about this one time (when we were new to America) about my mom throwing away the Coca Puffs because she thought it was dog food. Lol, he got a real kick out of it.
He told me that he wants daughters, he's going to make sure they're home while it's daylight like everyday. With such conviction, lol.
I loved how he never had any reservations. I once said: "I don't want to make the conversation uncomfortable." He laughed and said: "When have any of our conversations been too uncomfortable?" I could tell him anything. There was no inhibition.
5 years, and no other guy has matched the effect he's had on me. It feels like a tragedy.

He's not a simp. Waryaa, watch the way you talk about my man. He could say whatever, and I'd willingly fall into his arms.
