The problem with your line of reasoning is this, when the world is divided into two camps it is going to be the one camp that is thoroughly outfitted with nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them, and one that has hardly any or no weapons and no means to deliver them. You see where this leads.

ONLY Russia has nuclear weapons. None of the stans have nuclear weapons. Pakistan has the bomb, but very limited numbers of war heads and even more limited delivery systems. No delivery systems that can reach Europe or the States. Iran doesn't yet have nuclear weapons, but when it does, it still will lack the delivery systems.
