Yeah the regional governor of Gedo is Raxanweyne, the mayor of Beled-Xaawo is Raxanweyne, the mayor of Doolow is Raxanweyne, the mayor of Luuq is Raxanweyne, the mayor of Garbaaharey is Raxanweyn, the mayor of Ceelwaaq is Raxanweyn. All the government troops are raxanweyne including the generals and cols.

Oh wait a minute I forgot they are all Marehans oooops.

dumbass. Somalis and their indho adeeg. If only they imaan and claimed were they really from all this problem wouldn't occur. They like claim everything even trees as their own. Stay in your side of the border if you cannot behave. Or next time do not claim the Marehans have committed 'xasuuq' in villages in Bay and Bakool like you guys have already posted on youtube.

Bro, all the areas they lost i believe if i am not mistaken was captured with the help of AU/Ethiopian troops. Those guys at the height of power were a superpower among somalis because of their multiclan fighting force till they focked up with their draconian rule. No single clan can defeat such a force with also having members of their clan representing shabaab.

Shabaab did something no Somali movement had done so swiftly and successfully in history. They allied clans through their doctrine and managed to turn brothers against each other. Kaaba qabiil la dilaayo oo waxaa dilaaya wiil uu adeer u yahay gayiga Soomaaliyeed lagama arki jirin...It's definitely a new Age for the country, it's a concern where we will end up. :|

Yeah bro, its a concern. imagine what they could have done different with this power :meles: What if they could have become something like Hezbollah where they work with their gov and help the public instead of bombing and maiming them. Dropped the international agenda and foreign jihadist but, Instead they did everything possible to piss people off. I really don't get these niggaz

Axdiga ay ku socdeen markiiba hore ayaa khalkhal ku jirey. They wanted to be the centre of power and attention from the get-go and that just wasn't the model state that greater Powers wanted. Shabaabka are falling down like a domino set as they lose alliances day by day, but it will take an ideological war before they become extinct fully.

At the end of the day we all to blame because of illogical clan animosities.

I agree, however shabab had myriad D&M enlisted than any other clan, my point in this discussion is to state what a few people neglect, The dynamics in Gedo is different than most regions, it’s one of the largest concentration ratio of D&M outside of Bay, Bakool, parts of S/hoose and both Jubbas. That’s why it’s hard for these regions to be free from shabab, it is home to a lot of D&M who are quite resilient. Case and point whenever AU troops leave shabab comes back in a heart beat. I await the day we can manage with our own xoog and not that of AU.

They are a major clan with numbers and also bay n bakool border those gobols, so it would make sense you will have a lot of D&M shabaab fighters in those regions.

I hate to engage in qablaayad these days but what I'm about to say is D&M in Gedo are idps, refugees. D&M unlike Darood, Hawiye are not pastoralists but farmers and when the droughts hit and the crops fail they don't have lifestock to lean on so they move. In Gedo they have opened permenant camps in Doolow, B Xaawo, etc. and I'm all for them being welcomed but it will have no affect on the administrations of the town. Politically Gedo is and always will be Marehan yet anybody is welcome to live there. As for the 'geography' of Gedo being different and thats why Baardheere has not been able to be captured that is absolute bullshid. My Abtiyaal are from Baardheere and Baardheere has always been a Itixaad hotbed. 2ndly, the enviroment in Baardheere is a jungle and its very easy for gurreilla fighters to hide. I repeat again the D&M in Gedo are ones that fled Bay/Bakool due to the famine, and it is extremely dumb with You to try to use this to score political points. If anything the Marehans in Qansaxdheer, Bay should be asking for representation but they don't.

I support D&M in Bay/Bakool and maybe even Sh Hoose under the right circumstances. Gedo, M Jubba, L Jubba they have no business as far as administering it which is what the President, Speaker have made clear to them.

1. The SH/hoose section of D&M are the farmers only. The D&M of Bay and Bakool and Jubbooyinka are both farmers and pastoralists. As somalis say, the male camels of Baydhabo can't mate with the she camels of the gobolada dhexe and north, because of their size difference.
2. D&M being IDP's across Somalia is a cultural thing of theirs. Tuugsigana waa dhaqankooda sidoo kale.
3. D&M are one of the main qabiils of Jubbooyinka, specially in J/Dhexe along side with Shiiqaal, HG/Saleebaan, Dir and Bantus. jebertis have no presence in this gobol. So i don't know what makes you to say that D&M have no say in their own land. :?
