Lol, what Islam? Somali people were pretty liberal, at most Islam was practiced on an individual scale who were the anomalies. What you should be asking is what did we gain from Social communism? What did we gain from separating religion and management of the state, specifically ? What did and do we gain from qabyaalad?

Gaalada claim they take showers after they shit and similarly wash their asses, which I doubt is possible in public restrooms. Using toilet paper and then washing yourself immediately is much more hygienic than walking around with a shit caked asshole.
