Barkhad was chosen because of his Mouth and color Similarity with the actual Pirate Abdweli Muse. They look so much alike in Looks, body and Ilko. So that is why he got the job. I don't think Tom Hanks was looking for Majeerteen or any other tribe. Its just coincidence if they are both Majeerteen. Majeerteen in Mudug are 80% dark Skin both men and women. I do not know much about the other areas cause I have never been there.

Sheikh, while there is undoubted similarities between the two, the reason he's an Oscar nominy is his performance. The guy even stole the show from Tom Hanks according to some critics. Don't Google the guy just watch him on your screen come Oct 11th
