Re: Why haven't we got any trains ?
Because Somalis enjoy war and the diaspora who were supposed to make a difference in Somalia prefer to engage in clan nonsense and throw regional state parties in Toronto and Minneapolis Hilton Airport conference rooms. Some qabiil will end up claiming the railroad since it crosses into their tuulo like the savages that they are. Its happened even with oil explorations
Somalis don't deserve anything nice. Let those idiots learn their savageness has consequences. Railroads won't even be built in the time of your grandchildren. We are dealing with Somalis here

I absolutely hate those parties man. Meel kasta habro iyo odayaal ayaa ka dhex boodboodaya. Dhalinyaro are nowhere to be seen because the majority of them a) do not understand the language fully, so can't understand or appreciate the songs and gabays 2) have no interest to keep abreast of the latest happenings in some dusty wasteland attempting to pass itself off as a "city".
Re: Why haven't we got any trains ?
there is an informative somali youtoube video about how the british destroyed that mogadishu-johar railway so they can use its materials in east africa but I forgot the name so I will ask some one tomorrow inshallah and post it in here.STARKAST wrote:Theres a train line that was built by the early colonist Italian Duke between Xamar and Jowhar to export his fruit. I think this was about 130km.
Actually in the late 80s the regime wanted to restart the lines and stations (About 10 in the south) however the hawiye war started.
I think Trains are a viable option in Somalia but we should start small scale. However i'm sure we'll see a network in the next decades.
Do do realize the entirety of Galguduud is semi arid and other parts in the south, your stupid statements won't be tolerated ?
This is from wikki
"In 1941 the railway was dismantled by the British troops when they conquered the "Africa Orientale Italiana". Since then the railway, except for a few tracks within Mogadishu harbour, was no longer used. In 1942 some diesel locomotives and related materials were moved by the British Government to Eritrea, to be used on the Massawa-Asmara railway"

Actually if you look closer, you can cross Niger and Mali off that list because the train tracks cross the river Niger in both countries. But add Sierra Leone & Western Sahara to the list and that completes kudaafada aduunka.GeoSeven wrote:The dark corners of Africa are devoid of any rail systems. Somalia, Madagascar, Mali, Chad, Niger and CAR....it's painful to see us in that list which translates to dhulalkii aduunka nacay

Yeah Sierra Leone and Western Sahara as well. LDAN: League of Destitute African Nations. WQA: Wadamada Qashinka Africa

A reality check is warranted at times. Were beyond pathetic but we talk about reer Hebel and how many Toyota pickups they possess in order wage neolithic tribal warfare. Sad chronicle the tale of Somalia

In case you forgot Somalis are still using a hole in the ground to sh!t in...so let us get a sanitation system first.
