I've honestly never heard that phrase. Waad khafiiftay/ waad isku buuxsamtay or buuqday even but never that.

Languages we have similarities:
Arabic
So many words like sacat, kursi, sariir etc
Italian
Few words such us Jalaato, Farmaajo, Armaajo, Katiibo etc
English
Little amount such as hoteel etc
Ancient Egyptian
Quite alot such as hibo, wabi, hees etc
Hindi
Quite a few such as gaari, baraf, dhukaan, etc
In terms of grammatical similarities I can't tell. But similar words that sound alike and have same meaning there are many such as those I mentioned above.

Haa (yes) is similar to the Japanese counterpart.
