For good or bad...we`re stuck with the current leadership.
The next 12 months will a weathervane for the next 10 years.

If the govt does prioritize the destruction of al Shabaab...we can forget about any future for Somalia.

The person who made mogadishu peaceful is shaykh sharif though mogadishu authority was existing before him like golaha deegaanka banaadir with a mayor and three deptuties, current mogadishu mayorship is based on the power sharing of ex golaha deegaanka, big fadli in this one mogadishu authority work goes to guys like omar hashi.

Sharif was in villa somalia for 6 months, ethiopia has removed him and brought him back to villa somalia!

TI

Hassan sheekhs own party was a political party of dam jadid it had members like farah abdulqadir his deputy and doodisho...students etc

Tayo is not a party, just appears as a campaing before the elections it had some islaax members and somali intellectuals

Dam jadid are an enclosed authoritative group they don't rule the country just through the govt but through their "policy unit" wich inludes non official members.

Very dangerous, now are controlling the power firmly, they have ate walalaha galgaduud, close to cun D&M, close to sign a contract with a new turkish company that will manage the kismayo port.

Nick kay still visits all the governors, he has been to hiiraan, his deputy fathia saruur has been to baydhabo at the same time yet he is not allowed to talk about the federal issues just their local issues!

This is how the dam jadid is controlling the power! !
