What's with the hostility between Kulmiye and UCID? Are the deputy speakers and the speakers from different clans?SYSS wrote:Nothing to see here. Mudane Cirro flexing his muscles and cleaning the Kulmiye stooges from the parliament through democratic means.

Nope it's not.Meyle wrote:Once again I don't see the turmoil you're talking about. Nor do I see disturbance or confusion. Thus your title is misleading.
It's not only the MP's and speaker that are in disagreement. It is between the deputy speakers and the speaker. It's vital to be a order between the speaker and deputy speakers without any tension between the authorities. Watch the speech of the deputy speakers.
The deputy speakers rejected the order of the speaker. Nothing fundamental about that in terms of democracy.

I don't see the connection to my previous statement.HusseinHassan wrote:you and i both know that, what's on paper tends to be far more important than what's on the ground. if the mogadishu-based mafia play their cards right, they can actually get an international support in labeling the hargaysa-based mafia as terrorist rebels, thus having italian forces come into somalia like the french are doing in the central african republic and carry out mussolini-style whoop ass on you guys.Meyle wrote:HusseinHassan,

There's no democracy in Somalia (Raas Caseyr to Raas Kamboni). Somaliland being lumped together with Somalia on paper was not up for discussion in the first place.
The government of Somalia is only a threat to its citizens not Somaliland.

Yes, you're title is misleading.
It's their god given right to disagree.

Learn the difference between disagree and rejection.
Do you have problem understanding the Somali language, I suggest you get somebody to translate the deputy speakers speech in the video.

Oh yes, the Somalilanders want to see a prosperous Southern Somalia. Alhamdulilah unlike them, I don't wish misery on them. I thank Allah for giving me a clean heart. I'm only against them because of their stance against Sool Sanaag and Eastern Togdheer. So I will be curious to know the political situation over there. And I will make threads about them freely.AbdiJohnson wrote:May Somaliland continue to prosper

So again. I will make only POLITICAL threads about Somaliland nothing outside politics.

They disagreed and they accepted that there was disagreements.
How is a press conference and taking the case to court going to prove your case. In what way was the SL parliament in turmoil?

Are you really that dumb or your just trying to hide the facts?Meyle wrote:

Situation:
1. The 1st deputy speaker and the 2nd deputy speaker had a feud between the speaker. This actually has been going on for a week. But got worse today when they refused to take part in the parliament session.
2. The parliament has majority voted for a law to be passed. In which half of the parliament were absent which were backing the deputy speakers.
3. After the law was passed, the deputy speakers rejected the passing of law and called it unlawful
Now tell me how this is not a turmoil? Do you have difficulty watching the video or understanding the BBC article?

Still.. It's not turmoil. Entire parliamentary sessions are cancelled in other countries because of disagreements and no one would call it turmoil. It's part of democracy. Something that you obviously don't understand.
