Indians are an ancient mixture of northern indo-aryan invaders and native south Asians. The native south Asians are now extinct but the closest pure people to them still alive today are the natives of the Andaman Islands. Natives of India probably looked something like Aboriginal Australians.

Why else do think there is an admixture "cline" in India? The southerners are more "native like" while as you go more north the people start to look more and more Caucasian/Middle-eastern!

Indians are actually kinda similar to Horn Africans in that both groups are the product of an ancient admixture between two different groups.

Somalia is not closer to arabia than habasha!
Forget todays ethiopia wich was created two centuries ago

It was called before that al habasha/abyssinia facing hijaz and there was a direct route between the port of adulis and jedda

The second reason is that somalia is facing oman wich had no arab populations back in history because of the empty quarter between it and north arabia, a large desert with extreme temperature so the isolated omans have mixed more with indians than arabs even the habashi language is closer to arabic than mahri

The third reason is that the indian ocean is stormy unlike of the very calm small read sea so no great migrations had taken place in the somali side besides their way of life while abyssinia was invading sudan and yemen and were israelites and christians before the arabs and was second to macca in islam.

Exactly my theory. Just as North Indians descend from the mixture of Indo-Aryan invaders from central Asia and indigenous indus-valley Harrapans who were most likely dravidians or proto-dravidians, Somalis are a mixture of North African pastoralist invaders and nilotics/cushitics and other people. Hence why Somalis have a wide range of looks, some looking like Moroccans and berbers and others looking like dinkas.
