Algeria 1992 will be a walk in the park compared to what is in store. Al Sissi and Co. misjudged the MB. They should have laid in wait until the next election to oust them. The MB as a movement is extremely moderate compared to the more hard line movements.
how did the 1992 algeri war start?

Abdiwahab

I think if Iraq had attacked Saudi Arabia a plethora of nations would have likely joined the war (such as pakistan) and the coalition would mercilesly attempt to bomb iraq. During those times the gulf states were really untouchable. Saddam had made a blunder attacking Kuwait.

Algerian Islamists were winning election after election, and were poised to take over power when the secularists with the help of the West canceled the elections and began arresting the winners. This sparked a civil war.

Saddam was a tyrant. He deserved his fate. I hope the great US of A will invade other countries with dictators and human rights abuses. Some countries will budge if you threaten to take away their aid but for others you can't do that. Saudi Arabia and North Korea are next. No more relying on conflict oil so its manageable today

What about Israel? It committed a lot of human rights abuses. For instance, Rachel Corrie, an American peace activist, was intentionally crushed by an Israeli bulldozer.
