Re: Guntiino
Oh okay, cool. I was at this multicultural event, the non-Somali MC was explaining the different traditonal attire and crediting all the respective nations but when it came to the guntiino they she credited a certain clan, I thought it may have had some truth to it but it's probably Somalis being devisive.kambuli wrote:Guntiino is actually the traditional dress for all Somalis no matter which region they hail. Whatever name they call, like saddex qayd, garays etc it all comes down to guntiino..I love guntiino..

Meyle, not mine. How dare they? My ancestors were stylish too.
Nah, honestly it doesn't matter, the event was for charity (Somalia), I just thought it was weird more than anything.

Only Somalis can bring clanism to a charity event

Guntiino should only be wore by slim girls and not fat chicks with flabby arms.

You can't get enough of telling your own women how to dress so you want to tell ours too. Go and help your bros and sis in Homs or Baghdad.Arabman wrote:Guntiino doesn't comply with the dress code of Islam. Somali women should stick to hijab.
