Yea that is my point. Abdi Johnson is saying these ppl are poor, but I know people who are selling their business to Tahriib, most are spending upwards of $20 to $30000, its not cheap to do tahriib.
Plus you Abdi saying, why did you come here, I didn't risk my life coming here. I come here legally on Boeing 707, I would have never risked my life to take cross a little boat in the Indian or Pacific ocean without food and water.

Ismail, amuus naya
Ironman, yes they are poor. They all saved up or take loans. Its not 20K-30K. My cousin did it years ago and he certainly did not have that kind of money on him. Hundreds of people flee monthly. So Somalia is filled with thousands of youth who have tens of thousands of dollars lying around? 99% of Somali youth don't have more than $100 to their name. Since when do Somali youth have businesses to sell?
You ran away from war. They are running away from poverty. Doesn't matter if they took a boat or if you took an airline. You were desperate just like them. Somalis and their xaasidnimo. Let them get the opportumity to prosper. Don't criticize like some redneck with your big American belly living the life. Those are your brothers and sisters

I am starting to see the reason why ppl tahriib.. There is nothing back if u aint got a dollar to your name its hell on earth
when they see qurbojoog going back every year with the lastest phones cars clothes and big villas while some didnt hve caasho iyo breakfast seeing your family struggle that makes you want to get on that boat a better life for yourself and family
You dont even need to be rich to go thru libiya once u reach eithopia the tol will pay for the rest of the way to europe

Yes our country is a hell but the somalis should try to change it instead of running to Europe or do they expect the Europeans to come and build the country for them?AishahWaqooyi wrote:I am starting to see the reason why ppl tahriib.. How are they suppose to change the country when youths arent given a chance after they leave education they cant find job because jobs are given out based on tribal affliation and now jobs are most likely given to qurbojoog because they are seen to have a better education when most were bus and taxi frivers from the west

I agree with you and you have some very good points and I am not saying it is going to be easy.... but some areas where the youth could do something right now is Building roads/farms/housingAishahWaqooyi wrote:How are they suppose to change the country when youths arent given a chance after they leave education they cant find job because jobs are given out based on tribal affliation and now jobs are most likely given to qurbojoog because they are seen to have a better education when most were bus and taxi frivers from the west

It's amazing how a people can change in just 2 or 3 decades. From the proud warrior nomads who had nothing to degenerates who would risk dying in a desert or sea and get raped on the way just for an Iphone. Somalia truly deserves it's misery.

You have a point. AJ is clueless. They better die at home with dignity. They all know qaxootinimo era is over.IRONm@N wrote:SecretAgent wrote:1 lady interview by bbc said she spend $34,000 on her journey not all dis ppl r poor most of them r well off ppl n paid alot of money to smugglers da blame comes from facebook

Re: They're better off dying @ home with dignity than Libya
Looks staged. I don't think accounts of horrific stories will stop people risking their lives by getting on dodgy boats. So long as there is an alternative to poverty, unemployment and lawlessness, people smugglers will have a product to sell.

I think it's better for these people to stay back home and at least get help from relatives than being giving money to go to tahriib and risk their life's. I mean why risk your life with tahriib even knowing when you make it you'll still be classified as illegal and be giving a hard time. I don't think Somalia is hell on earth there are some people living of better than others but that's doesn't mean they should risk naftooda to be like those ahead off them. They should just stay home try to better their situation and just trust Allah.
