Honestly Federalism will be the solution just the damn parliament needs to be set up at that other houes of Parliament. Also make it bicameral like the US.
Somaliland, I personally believe should be part of Somalia though should have full automony ( local government, police, education, etc...) but not the army. The army should be integrated within all the states.
Lastly Mogadishu should never be part of a state. This is where the Federal Parliament, Judicial Supreme Court and the Executive should be.
And also rename the presidents of these states to 'Governors' sounds better.
No Balkanzation of Somalia. We need reconciliation.

Also Somalia needs to set up some damn Parties.

Tell me one country that fully recognizes you as a separate nation other than yourselfs? You may have a strong point about pre-colonial borders and such...

Not being hateful towards them, you guys made big progress in terms of not getting aid, so I salute you on. Though before you guys think about recognition, start building and improving your infrastcutre especially your roads,schools, etc... but Meyle never the less you can believe what you want.

We're not united at all, you don't need to lie because if we were united your government wouldn't claim Somaliland, nor would they try to convince us to rejoin the illegal union. They wouldn't try their best to sabotage the progress Somaliland made. If we were united we would use the same constitution, I laugh every time someone says Somaliland is a federal state. If we were united we would also use the same currency, have the same judiciary etc. but we don't

Somaliland is not recognized internationally as a country and that have been more of a blessing than a curse, however international recognition is the icing on the cake
