I think the reason some people may look forward to the end of times, because they've lost hope in the present. Outside our little bubbles shit is happening and the worlds fucked up, tbf. For ex look at what people are doing to each other in CAR.

U r right. One major sign of the end of the world is -religion will be almost none existent. Also, science has to advance so much that poverty will be eradicated. Humans will pray less if they are not hungry. (along with other signs of course, like lots of single women, lots of cross dressing and homosexuality and the general lack of morality due to religion disappearing of course)w


When the world was young, all sins were rampant. Murders, homosexuality and adultery. Then God sent prophets and religion. The last straw for God is when after all that, prophets, religion, etc etc ,,humanity so predictable went back to their own original sins. (which is where the world is heading to, as science progress, and education enlightens, religion gradually becomes questioned.) Then, is when God will be furious and end the world. So the question becomes--was ALL this predestined to happen? Given that we know the traits of humanity, that they are apt to repeat history, did God pre--destine humans to go back to the original sin even though they are so advanced with modern sophisication? Therefore is the time line here on earth irrelevant? Are we like here on earth as a test of free will and see if we will succumb to our nature or choose the right path? Are we humans on battle with our own human biological make up or also called nature? Questions to ponder ma ha?

One of the the signs of the end of the world will be acute famine due to extreme food shortages, highly unlikely to happen in our life times. When Issa slays the Antichrist, he will live foe 40 years before his passing. Even if for arguments sake, Issa was to somehow descend from the heavens this weekend, judging by the foretold duration of his stay, the world would still be around for another four decades.

World isn't ending anytime soon in our lifetime folks.

How do you square that with what the Qur'an says? In many ayahs it says the World will end suddenly and without any warning. Illahay is telling us to not rest on our laurels and be conscious of that. The world can end tomorrow, the next year , in the next century etc.
