On the otherhand I don't know any Marexaans seamen or any records showing them leaving Somalia. So how can the two people be compared? One was local the other global.
is this what you brought to the table? "my grandfather was a seaman and left somali-lands in the 1930s"? if your grandfather had any wealth (camels, land), i doubt your grandfather would hop on a british sailboat with other white, godless, possibly homosexual englishmen and leave behind his wife, kids and camels/land (wealth) behind.
so basically, your grandfather was doing tahriib about 80 years ago.
Even today's Somalia the Isaaq are at the top and the Marexaans in the bush.
comparing isaaq to a sub/sub clan of darod. i'll be merciful and let that slide :pac:

Pinky whether you like it or not your people depended on the white man more back them than I as Habar Jeclo ever did. And today your pathetic tribe is outside the British government offices complaining about Silanyo massacring you. That's the truth not this alcohol fueled fake bravado afweyene fed your people about you saving Somalia from the white man when the truth is you were forced to run straight at the British Gatling guns by the mad mullah and had no choice but to die. Your pitiful tribe is my property today so when in speaking to a boon from gedo, your job is to shut up make as little noise as possible and bring me my tea like a good butler....

Voltage, my ancestors came to the west as working proud men not refugees picked up from Utanga. The irony. A refugee insulting men who even under the wests racist outlook forged a lasting well respected life that future generations of Somalis were permitted because of the lasting impression of these men.

I think you missed the whole point of my reply. But I will pretend Pinkys attempted hijacking mislead you and you rather than engaging your brain ran away with his silly remark...

My question is if your people are so great; the first Somali to do this and that. Etc. I mean claims are so many that I can't be bothered to write them all. But my point is. Why is it that your claim; that Isaaq's had an insignificant input in comparison to Marexaan. Why is this not supported by the two clear roles the two tribes are performing in today's Somalia.

One has built a nation the other can't build a neighborhood watch....

like voltage said, the peasants of england and europe left their countries towards "the new world" for better life. your grandfather and great grandfather wouldn't have left somalia if they had any life worth living for, such as owning large herd of camels, land, wells, etc.

again, why are you comparing isaaq to mareexaan? you're a habarjeclo, compare what habarjeclo is and/or achieved singlehandedly without the help of any other clan to what mareexaan is and/or achieved. :pac:

Pinky stop trolling...

Today Habar Jeclo owns your Dhilbhnte tribe like camels. The president of Somaliland is Habar Jeclo and the richest man in Somalia never Somaliland is Habar Jeclo. You in comparison are dying hungry headless going from one admin to the other selling your dignity to the highest bidder. Like I said the only thing you qualify for is making me tea.. Chop chop

Regarding your ridicules assertions. Whether you owned a hundred camels or not someone had global ambitions and completed tasks that have given Somalis an outlet to escape when afweyene forced the Somali state to compost and collapse..

Like I said form is temporary class is perminant...
