Ideologically, there's no difference between the two. Al-Qaeda was influenced among others Sayid Qutb & al-Zawahiri, both part of the MB. The MB was at one time engaged in violence, but stopped to try coming to power through a democratic process. Inevitably, it's now back to violence.
