I do agree that they are very business savvy people but to have a unity within a group you have to have some ideology to use as a base. The Isaaq's have this on a larger level and the Darods -some it may be added on subclan level others no different than the Hawiye. Now the Hawiye are the most fractured group within all Somalia and all these african peacekeepers have a one purpose; to stop Hawiyes killing each other. It seems this idea of resuscitating the Somali state is one framework to have them all pedaling towards the same direction. However, this idea hits the fan when it comes to bringing in other Somalis who have zero impact in the decision making with their only use being window dressing.....

How sweet of you defending dooros but do you mind explaining what amisom is doing in gedo and the jubbas?

Substance lets be honest dooros Will always try to undermine hawiye led gov and hawiye the same. If the president was a dooro i doubt he would do a better job than hsm.

Warsheikh: You need to step out of that mindset. A friendly reminder and my point was you in this thread complained about anything from reconciliation to alshabab in Somalia and yet you somehow forgot the country's president. Whom you didnt want to mention due to clan affliction.

If he is not up for the task he should resign. The country's is in very problematic situation and we shouldnt be clouded by qabilil perspective as in your case. You probably think my opposition is due to his clan but this couldn't be further from the truth.

Hawiye are not fractured and Hawiye are not killing themselves. You are living in the past man.

Hawiye is the most united clan in Somalia. This can't be disputed

Actually I'm quite optimistic with regards to the future of Somalia.
It's only Hassan sheikh and his divisive /corrupt policies that I abhor.

Somalia has everything, Al Hamdulilah, the only problem is poor leadership.

with somaliland (ex british protectorate) opting out of the pre 1991 union and gone into independence forever, somalia should decide on its future borders because the way i see it is that folks above galkacyo and those in bay, bakool and the 3 region jubaland state refuse to be part of a state with, and controlled from, mogadishu and central regions.

thats why i believe the territory of former italian somalia should be divided into 3 mini states which shall benefit all somalians

I have come to believe somalis need a ruthless and cruel strongman. They need some sort of King or Dictator who is able to exercise his will by force. Somalis are still stuck in a medieval pastoral mindset of my tol/my tuulo. This mindset is what will destroy the somali race. I believe a united somali race under one authoritarian ruler for one purpose would be unstoppable. Darood and Siad barre had his chance and blew it when he turned into a paranoid cuqdadle. Hawiye had the chance but Aidiid and Ali Mahdi decided to eat eachother. Isaaq had the chance for the last 14 years but it decided to bury it's head in the sand while it's slowly losing time as southern somalia becomes a AU cashcow or ethiopian/kenyan colony.
