With pasta sometimes, especially when theres alot of chilli, the banana cools me down.

Bananas is a must with bariis, baasto not so much. Bariis w/o it, I'm afraid rabshoole gonna have to choke a bytch.

no but I could do with tamar. I guess is personal choice. I seen people in jigjiga do it daily.

Ugh its disgusting.
It's common amongst southern Somali's though, its a cultural staple. For waqooyi's not so much.

Bariis/baasto/soor/canjeero/muufo...all goes nicely with bananas provided that the main food is loaded with hot spices and lemon...
