We are nomads sxb, we adapt to change very, very quickly. It's just an attribute. For instance, i noticed Somalis are good at picking up new languages easily but other communities can't. Some Asian families who've lived in the UAE for 20 odd years will still be unable to speak fluent Arabic whereas a Somali who camped there for a year or two becomes native-esque. Similarly in the UK i've met Somalis who picked up English very well and can blend with society without much difficulty but not so much other people.

So just as we pick up things quickly, we lose it quickly too (case in point we lose aspects of our culture)

for some Somali is not important. that is their rights to believe that.
