just put a small camera in your car when and discretely film them when they stop you just in case.
and never resist arrest.
If you have done nothing wrong you should not be afraid of a police station.
and the smart thing to do if the cop insists on comming to your house without a warrent. lock your door and let him break it down.
and immedietly call 911 and tell them there is a cop illegally attempting to come in without a warrent.
all calls are recorded and unless it is a small town difficult to remove quickly so your lawyer and subpeona that recorded call later.
and never resist arrest.

Full story aaaPerfect_Order wrote:Let the full story come out, then we can judge who is in the right and who is in the wrong. If the cop is in the wrong then the arrested will be compensated handsomely.
Where's the warrant? Why didn't he read him his Miranda rights? Why didn't the officer disclose why he's arresting him? Why didn't he give him his name? He's breaking every rule in the book and you wanna hear the department's cover story

Those are all very good points, but my reasoning was that the video starts when the cop is trying to arrest him, but we don't know from the video what lead up to it. Are we really to assume that a police officer came to someone's house just to arrest them? There must be a reason no matter how unjustified it is.

Are you really putting your faith in American law enforcement?
You can't think of any cases of corruption or excessive force for you to believe this could happen?

It's one thing to know you're not above an ass whooping so you best act accordingly and another to hold police to such high esteem and believe there "has" to be a reason for them to get out of pocket.

I'm just using logic, for every effect there is a cause, now if the cause is justified is another thing. There is no holding to "high esteem", and it always benefits to gather all the information before passing judgement. You should try it.

I tend to pay attention to trends which is why I don't think this is an isolated or unique case, but by all means, let's put this black man's rights on the back burner while we await details from the local authorities.

What trends? The only trend is that more and more people have devices able to record such incidents, a technology that wasn't as accessible before.
While I am waiting to get information to judge each man's rights, you are simply using this to confirm your previously held biases. Leave the rights to speech to someone who is defending justice.

Re: Black guy gets arrested in his house for doing nothing
According to the police department it was a call for disturbing the peace. It was originally going to be a misdemeanour summons for disturbing the peace but when he tried to shut the cop out of his house it got changed to resisting arrest and battery of a police officer
Apparently the cop could smell weed coming from the house, that's why he wanted to come in/wanted to see ID. Meh
Also how prudish does one have to be to call the cops because your neighbour is cursing? Not breaking shit, not setting fireworks off illegally, he was cursing and they thought they could smell weed. Shitty reason to call the cops, I think.

Media being the fifth estate and all.
I thought you agreed with the points I raised earlier.
@ defending justice. This is a breach of justice. I pray to God you're trolling.
