True indeed.

NFD is different as its Somalilands (formally soon Inshah'Allah).
But why pay tax (in Eastleigh) to people who want you dead ? Why build a country that wants to enslave you ? Makes no sense, its the same as those in South Africa. Cash out. They can do better in Somali lands.

I am in Nairobi and this is how they operate

When they capture you, there are three scenarios

1- You are legit and have foreign passport or you have kenyan citizenship: They will try to hustle you and if you stand firm , most likely they will let you go , unless they get you in a dark place with no people around. they may search you and take your money but its unlikely

2- You don't have Documents but you have money: They will try to milk as much money as they could . They have gotten as little as 100 K.Shilling to 10,000 K.Shilling. And if you are in a house or apartment and you pay up, chances are new waves of thugs will come and demand more money. I know a family that got visited five times and each time they paid. They send different jareer each time.

3-You have no document but no money at that time. You be loaded in big tracks like animal and taken to the jail unless somebody bails you out before you are taken to the jail. I have bailed like five people so far ( yeah i don't even know their qabiilis). Once you are in jail , minimum of 35,000 K.Shilling will set you free ( that's when the big bosses get paid).

So as you can see it's all about strictly business. I'd advice Somalis either pay up or leave the country it's that simple.

To make matters worse atleast half of those ripping somalis off are not police and are just the kenyan locals making the most out of the opportunity . Some of the somalis are gullible and somali know all too well when they are dealing with a real corrupt police or a kenyan local pretending to be a cop.
