this is true though. why do you think there are only non-somalis in the coastal towns down south. in the north, the coastal tribes (the majeerteen, warsangeli, and isaaq) absorbed the foreigners that used to live in Berbera, Boosaso, and Laasqorey. of all the tribes in the north, only the dhulbahante are pure somali. and even we made the mistake of intermarrying with the isaaq and majerteen, hence the few non-ethnic somalis among us.

the purest somali tribe of all, however, are the ogaden. surrounded by nothing but desert on all sides and other cushitic tribes, there is very low probability of any non-cushitic blood in them. its the reason why most of what is authentically somali culture comes from them.

Looks like someone needs to renew their eyeglass prescriptions asap!
