Horta why do Somalis get butt-hurt when someone criticises their tuulo? You can insult Hargeisa day and night. I won't deny it's a shithole. There is plenty of work needed for it to be a city worth living in, let alone one of the great cities in the world. But the same can be said about Mogadishu. Are you denying what little progress Mog has achieved is almost entirely funded and built by foreign AID and governments? Therein lies our problem. Every fool takes constructive criticism like a personal affront and an insult to his ancestors. This primitive tribal (Unuka leh) mind-set needs to go for there to be any progress in Somalia.

One thing I will say for Mog is that it actually looks like a city rather than a large settlement, which is what Hargeisa and very other "city" in Somalia looks like. The streets are planned and structured. Whereas Hargeisa needs some serious (and most likely unpopular) reconfiguration and resettlement. Too many fools just build where they want without any government permit or urban planning involved.
