How much does the Imam at your masjid make..?

of course all imams and mu'adins are paid monthly salary plus a lot of extra money and housing paid. also religious people are paid generously paid by government. do you thing imam in haram meka not paid? lol. how else they support their lavish life style?

most well off in middle east are religious career people. imam, lecturer, quran reciter .

Dee of course kuwaa haram dadka ku tujiya get paid mad $ but as others have mentioned, here in the West that is unheard of Local wadaads/sheykhs here have a regular 9-5 job. That was why I was shocked when I heard Said Ragge getting paid 7k/month

I was told Said Ragge makes 7k/month in Edmonton and he was getting paid 5k/month @ Abu Hurariah. That was the first time I heard of imams getting paid.

He got his own mosque now and earns 10k+ a month

po, they paid cause is a career and no one can just go to stand and can lecture. if left for people like you in the west people would takfiir left and right and mosques would be divided. you go school to be imam or mo'adin.

Hyper, false argument, takfiris are usually ones that were educated in religious institutions built by gulf countries. Most of the world and throughout Islamic history, mosques where not run by the governments, and given stipends, sure some empires did that, but not the whole muslim world. And yet we did not see the division and takfiris that we see today.

why not get job here, Indians coming here from the west and getting jobs left and right? are you in IT business and telecommunication?

They should do it voluntarily or if fulltime given basic stipend. We don't want every tom, d ick and harry abusing this position and see it as a quick way to enrich themselves.

They should do it voluntarily or if fulltime given basic stipend. We don't want every tom, d ick and harry abusing this position and see it as a quick way to enrich themselves.

You also have to consider how stressful being an Imam is and the challenges of serving the needs of community full-time, while at the same time serving the needs of their family. Of course Imams shouldn't be living an extremely lavish lifestyle (otherwise people will be rushing to become an Imam with the wrong intentions), but at the same time giving them a meagre stipend where their families are force to live in low income housing doesn't serve them justice.

I pray at Idris Masjid in NG. It's small but it's packed on Jumca and people come from LC, Aurora, Greeenwood etc to pray. And the block is good to us when it comes to parking our cars near there houses.
