I think about 6-7 generations of my family, of both sides, are the same sub-clan, let alone Isaaq, and never left their hometown. After that its still boring, still all Isaaq but other clans within it have infiltrated us LOL.
To strangers who ask I just say Somali tbh, because Somali is the ethnicity (if you like). If they say "where are you from?" and they have some intelligence (unlike some of my y7 students who cant point to the UK on a map), I would explain in detail "Northern part, Somaliland, British protectorate, etc"...

I do not believe for one second that the reason the Ethiomalis would want to remain with mamathiopia has anything to do with "walaweyn".
Over a century of leaving under Ethiopia makes more sense than to use Somalia and their never ending dagaal shaanshiyeed politics.

Never say never.
Somaliland may have made a "mistake" in the past because of the Union in the 60s but doesn't mean trying again will be also a mistake.

Hope is the foundation and ground every Muslim is standing on and to claim otherwise is just plain blasphemy.

How so Walanweyns love Xabashis they even have their troops in their country , I dont have a motive or an agenda i want to live in peace with all of our neighbors including the walanweyns, but the xabashis are good trade partners they are stable folks , they dont detonate each other , they are not a threat to the region the only problem i have with xabashis is that they need to work on the Hygiene other than they are good ummad.

Djibouti is the place i was born just like you were born in SL. None of us had a say in that matter.
