Made mistakes, lots of obstacles because its a non profit project. Learned lots of things, overwhelmed because the needy out numbers everybody else at least three times. Can't get anything done unless your there full time and committed full time. Was ill prepared. Got reality checked... but hamdulilah came back more determined than ever.

That's great actually. Projects take lots of preparation and at least now you saw first hand the conditions of the group. I'm sure you also made some connections Keep us updated InshaAllah

I often wonder how it was in the early 2000s. I don't expect it to have changed much over the last 3-5yrs to be fair, not much "change" has happened to Somalis as a society. I think liberal baa lagu waashay halkan though. There used to be self-restraint/self-monitoring I would imagine, much like in the society before compared to now.
