Hawdian,
Baxsaneey Hargeisa is obviously a great song but it wouldn't make the top 30).

My favourite Abdi Qeys song is Xeebta Jabuuti sung by Mooge. Unfortunately, It wouldn't make the top 40

Julius Ceaser; From a somali context, there are two Djibouti singers who would make the top 100 favourites; Nimco Jaamac and Saciid Xamar Good.

Best Djibouti composer is Daahir Jaamac

Thank you. Nimco Jaamac is probably lady 4 in somali songs after Magool, Sahra Ahmed and Maryan Mursal. She has more than 3 dozen songs and her songs were popular in Somalia. Godh and the other siciid were great entertainers. Who will forget the dancers! and lyrics like Dhooleey la'aanta dhulka ila wareego kaa dhowrsan maaye.. Daahir Jaamac and Cali Gaab have composed some of the most famous songs for Hassan Aden and others.

Julius, I like Nimco's songs: I gather that she turned against my favourite Somali of these decades; Ismaciil Ahmed Gueleh. Is that true?

I was told Nimco participated in demonstrations against Ismail Ahmed G. He is the best Somali that is alive.

Hibo is famous. But she is not from Djibouti. She is in the same league as Khadro Daahir, Maandeeq, Qalanjo, Faadumo Qaasin and many more.

MaliBantu, one of Aweys songs could make the top 20 but not kusoow Kunturwaarey's. Kusoow was a regional singer. If you are talking about Maay song, then Samatar's Huburow, Hakaba and shaleeyda (my two favourites) might just make top 20.

Hilaac; lol@@biased. Deeqa's song might probably make the top 20. That song will have to compete with One of Cigaal's, Hanuuniye, Maandeeq, Jubba, Gacanlow, ( Daleeys, Saado, Qaalinle (one of his songs will certainly make top 10) Baxsan, Khadro Daahir, Kuluc etc.

We are talking about songs and not singers; Top three songs. Neyruus, Hooyo and Beledweyn are sung by almost every somali of adult age; Beledweyn in particular which was taught alongside Soomaaliyey toosow.

Actually, It is song Nr 3 which is debatable; Neyruus. The other two are up there.

I know saaxib. It is like Mohamed Saleebaan's sannad waliba and Shooli's Ladnaan. Good lyrics. But, blv me it wouldn't beat Many of Samatar's , Magool songs. Travel anywhere in Somali territory and ask any somali adult to sing a line from Beledweyne and Hooyo. They will do.
