Costa--I sense some jelousy dude. Somaliland is a functioning government and a peaceful state which doesn't need the recognition of other countries to be a model state. Very Happy

Surria--i'm not quite the expert on qabiil but i think clans isaaq, gudibiirse and Ciise come under the Dir tribe just like mareexaan, majerteen and dhulos come under the darood tribe. I think that's right. I'm sure i will be corrected if i'm wrong.

Costa and lion stop it. This is not about who is the majority in somalia, or who is the strongest, or even Somaliland...it's just a survey and i think it could even be somewhat educational ethnographically. For example, the whole Rahanwayn and Digal, i didn't know much about.

Me too. Believe me. Although i'm isaaq, i ahve never been to Somaliland. I was born and raised in Mogadishu and nothing would make me happier than to see a peaceful and united Somalia. But i don't think Somaliland has to suffer because the savages (militia and warlords) in the south can't make up their minds. They have got to move on. Insha'Allah, one day all 47 muslim states will united again and one day the world will be united under the banner of Islam. In the mean time, people need to do whats' best for them to survive. Secceeding is the best thing for Somaliland right now.

Gurey---Like i said, i'm not expert on qabiil. That's what i heard or think i heard. If you wanna shed some light on the issues, be my guest but i suggest you refrain from the name-calling, gay man. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

COSTA..

"they used to live on welfare in somalia "

Acuudi billah. Yaa kaa fakanayo adiga?

Somalia had no welfare system. Only mareexaan people got kickbacks in the form of SUV's and land, not foodtsamps. Laughing Laughing Laughing or so i hear.

Can we refrain from the name-calling I just want to learn about the whole tribal thing, as all of you know; I belong to the small tribe category. Perhaps we can shed light on cultural aspects of some of these tribes.

One thing i love about the Cadcad tribes are the food, Oh my god, have you guys ever had Macsharo? Yum it's soo good. Smile
