Around Jeffo & Marques' age? If so I'm actually slightly off, I should have said 6yrs younger than you minimum.

I think you'll find I said I'm 26 turning 27 in august, and you'll also find that I was sceptical about everyone on that threadYummyMummy wrote:No Waraabe, I did Engineering.

Back when I was in high school I thought about studing theoretical physics and astrophysics because I wanted to be the first person to discover and prove the existence of dark matter and energy.
Currently reading this book, very interesting.

parallel words is a theory of the multiverse (multiple universes) in which there are trillions of other universes where there is every single possibilityLiquidHYDROGEN wrote:Back when I was in high school I thought about studing theoretical physics and astrophysics because I wanted to be the first person to discover and prove the existence of dark matter and energy.![]()

so for example, there is a universe in which are the richest man in the world, where you are the president of a country etc

Stuff like that amazes me. I mean our galaxy is huge. And our universe is really, really, really huge. It would take billions and hundreds of billions of years to traverse it. Can you even imagine other universes? It boggles the mind. It sort of makes human being incredibly insignificant.waraabe251 wrote:parallel words is a theory of the multiverse (multiple universes) in which there are trillions of other universes where there is every single possibilityLiquidHYDROGEN wrote:Back when I was in high school I thought about studing theoretical physics and astrophysics because I wanted to be the first person to discover and prove the existence of dark matter and energy.![]()

I wanted to be the first to discover the cure for AIDS (some kind of induced temporary immunity system?) & Cancer (reduce/stop defective cells from rapid mitosis). Not gonna happen. It's nice to have aspirations though. Lemme know what the book is like & if you'd recommend it.
@ HappyOne: Many happy returns (see what I did there?). Sending a cake your way

@ Waraabe & GaroweBoy: I see you've found the cure to aging... *change she to he*

Re: Dark Matter & Dark Energy
I don't see the point in striving to find another universe, physically, it is impossible.
Hawkings used the multiverse theory to try and escape the possibility of a God existing.

Re: Dark Matter & Dark Energy
That's the thing, all the other universes apart from ours in the Multiverse Theory (derived from String Theory) are barren & lifeless due to being too dense (i.e. filled with high-gravity objects like black holes that absorb light as well) or not enough light (and light energy is a significant precursor to many particles and later, lifeforms).LiquidHYDROGEN wrote:Stuff like that amazes me. I feel another speculation/conjecture moment coming on with light, but I shall resist.

Re: Dark Matter & Dark Energy
The wonder of of the universe, more people should read cosmology books it will make u humble and wonder WTF are we fighting over on this insignificant planet. Good stuff yummy

Re: Dark Matter & Dark Energy
No doubt that the science of the universe is fascinating, but im a dreamer when it comes to navigating the space, exploring and colonizing with the most sophisticating gear. But i also realise the immense futility in applying that practically. None of the planets in our solar system can support life, nearest one is part of another solar (gilese) and the distance between solar systems is so massive that its counted in light years in exo planets case gilese millions of light years, we'd have to look for traveling faster than light which would leave us with the sole option of having to travel through black holes will result with every objects anywhere near getting turned into pasta and its impossible for us to travel faster than light so the chances of traveling between solar systems will pretty much never happen. The universe is still fascinating though.
