Technological innovation, and scientific discovery has actually slowed down.

We are at the cusp of some freaky shit, technologically speaking.
2 things alone would change everything and make science fiction shows like Star Trek silly anachronistic stuff.
The understanding and manipulation of gravity, and nano technology.
If you can crack the gravity mystery you will have unimaginable power through anti-matter at the simplest , and make fusion power piss easy,
you will be able to build a fusion reactor the size of your iphone if you can manipulate gravity, and it will run your house and car.
you will also have faster than light travel.

Nano technology means stronger materials of amazing properties, it also means the ability to live indefinetly as nanites could repair our bodies and prevent aging.

the extremists are always the most loud mouthed, but the masses do not support them anymore. There is an intellectual surge coming. I think more and more people are coming to the middle ground. Or at least that's how I see it here in North America. Perhaps the Middle East is different.

people are very good at smelling bullshit and when faced with an overwhelming number of ulema that are not fit to even teach hafidh to pre teens

Oh please. The world is NOT coming to end anytime soon. U know why? The entire chaos in the world is caused by religion or the misinterpretation of religion-- ie Islam. When the world approaches an end-- usually-- 98% world population do not believe in God. Which is not the case. Right now, 55% of the world do not believe in God. I came with my calculation based on China's Buddhist high population, and Indian Hindu believing population. Since these two countries make most of the worlds population, I thought it sufficient to declare a 50% Godlessness.
