As a teenager I used to really bored with many things Somali, but for some reason these days I am drawn to everything Somali, I am not even embarrassed about speaking my broken Somali to strangers these days( which is great progress believe you me, ask my mother) , I am also so feeling Somali music these days it’s scary. However I wish we would not use this qabiil business to the detriment of others and I also wish Somalis would not always act as if everyone is a carbon copy of themselves and let people explore their individuality a little, not all Somalis are the same.

Btw: Xyaad did you say its embarrassing to wear dirac in public Are you kidding? I would love to wear dirac even to work if I could waalahi!

Laughing shaheen I'm not sure if a see through 'dress' would be permissible at work. Besides i believe that diracs are too extravagant to wear outsides i think its only good for weddings or special occasions.

get rid off;

1. Long Term Loafers - Guests who never leave.
2. Cousins - Only the ones who count are your 1st cousins.
3. Qabiil Dues - Skyrocketing and never ending. Time to cap it.

i agree with u on the first two. but u know the qabiil tax is only annoying cos u think ur neva gonna benefit from it. trust me cos, i spent a summer back home, and lets say we got into a lil trouble, had it not bieng for my extended qabiil family, getting out of prison would not be so easy. police in new hargiesa prison don't ramp.

u neva know when ur third cousins and fifth unckles r gonna come to ur rescue abti. what can i say, qabiil, as backward as it might seem, has its benefits.
