America is a nation at war with itself and the rest of the world, the police force is being militarized before your eyes and every white person in America is armed to teeth yet a black youth with a BB gun is gunned down at f-king walmart.

The hell with peaceful protest, Until white people finally acknowledge the persistence and the depth of their own conscious and subconscious racial biases and assumptions, unarmed black people will continue to die.

But to be fair blacks in America have a tendency to act like wild animals but hey 400 years of systematic industrial slavery would do that to prosperity. If they got their Forty acres and a mule as they deserved there would be no black 'crime' rate or incarceration rate.

Also, the police in America is a occupying force where institutional racism is rife. In their eyes they shot a wild dog.

Sad state of affairs. I've always believed that African Americans despite their crucial and depressing contribution to America have never been perceived as citizens but the enemy within. I would tell black Americans to emigrate back to west Africa instead of living like animals in a system built to destroy them.

The greatest trick the whites ever pulled is not raping, looting killing the rest of the world for centuries but making everybody else believe that blacks are the worst.

Sadly, that brief list of yours does not begin to do this matter justice. It is the White on Black murder that is the rarity and the Black on Black "drive by" that has become so common as not to attract attention. This was written for Trayvon Martin, but the figures don't change.

So half of all murder victims in the US are Black, and 94% of those were killed by Blacks.

This is not to say that Blacks should not be armed. There are perfectly legal reasons and means to carry, as well as reasons to keep something in the home. I know several Black families in my neighborhood who do, and I don't think it's to protect themselves from either their White neighbors or the police.

Oakland was the home of both the Black Panthers and the Black Muslims. The town used to divide Black and White right down Telegraph Avenue. Then the Koreans came and took over the Avenue. The Black Panthers got into education and politics and the Black Muslim leadership was revealed to be corrupt and fraudulent, and has largely disappeared. We had a Black mayor, followed by a White mayor, followed by a Chinese mayor. We have lots of Black on Black killings, but race relations, as such, have been good.

So it was a very big deal in 2009 when a White BART officer shot and killed Oscar Grant, an unarmed young Black man. The officer claimed he thought he was using his taser. But some in the Black community called it summary execution. This happened right across East Fourteenth Street from where I was working at the Native American Health Center.

Some rioting broke out, but involved only about 250 people, and local authorities blamed it on outsiders making use of an excuse to loot. Eighty people were arrested on small charges and the murder case went to court. A California jury found the officer guilty of involuntary manslaughter and he served two years. The Feds investigated but have so far not brought a separate case, apparently also believing the taser claim. There is a civil suit in the works, but there has been no large continuing protest. We, here, have decided that the courts can deal with it. I would hope the day will come when the citizens of Missouri can do the same.

I laugh hard when I heard them cry about police brutality and almost get the impression that they are guest and not citizens.

As if they'd be accepted in West Africa either. African Americans are alienated from their African roots and here in the West. They don't have a safe place to call home.

I think the bigger issue is the mob mentality and a culture of impunity that prevails within law enforcement agencies. Any incident involving one of their own and they circle the wagons to cover their guy. Some of the pictures coming out of ferguson reminded me of Apartheid South Africa
