He is a traditional Sheikh who wanted to use the shock value to his audience of traditional Somalis about the dangers of macsiyo and dhaqan xummid, but he should have known that lying is haram and should have educated his traditional team about it and should have avoided from the dangers of being labelled as a lying sheikh from the educated Somali youth who believe in evidence based and not the Sheikh, Dahir Calasow or the BBC said. He didn't meet 50 young Somali men claiming to be Jamaicans on his trip to New Zealand and his outrageously claim of meeting with 700 HIV infected teenage Somali girls is even worse.

How could these traditional sheikhs convince the young about the merits of Sharia Laws when they will be the architects and executioners of Shariah Laws?

the sheikh is an established sheikh with real islamic knowledge and creditianls. I believe him 100% many xalimooyin in UK became bad so 700 is not a large number compared to 250,000 somalis in ldn

No one is disputing his credentials or his knowledge but the fact is that he has erred to claim that 700 young Somali girls from the age of 14 years old with HIV are housed in a health facility. There are no such facilities in Britain with people with HIV. Did he see it in his dream and hullicinated to be as a fact? Or, is he the only human-being who was given permission to visit such a highly secretive facility in London? He lied and as a sheikh his first task should be educating all of us the merits in Islam for being honest and stating the facts because Islam commanded truthfulness and forbade lying.

Yes we are all humans and do make mistakes but this Sheikh was caught lying big time and failed to recant it even when challenged by that host at universal TV. His sole agenda was to defame Somali females in London and has failed big time. We need Sheikhs we can trust and not some recalcitrant Sheikh who can't even apologise when caught for intentionally spreading lies.

I don't see why aids is something to be ashamed of its a disease that could spread in so many ways... we Just need to say alhamdullilah if you are healthy human being.
we need to have some sympathy for those girls he's talking about if the story is true. not all did some bad stuff, blood transfusion, used needles, even being spread by someone else though contact like saliva, using same toothbrush or eating from the same spoon simple things. without the infected person knowing they ever had the virus for example.. so many different ways to gain it. I mean even some are born with it because their parents have it. and are able to live with it for many years, I mean look at magic Johnson the guy practically looks healthy but had hiv for 20+ years.

This sheikh should be teaching compassion. tbh there is 20 million somalis out there in this world no need to track them down.. I mean u can give advise but not go specific like I went to a trip to London and I saw so and so...you know?
if there are Somalis that are ashamed of themselves like he says and calls themselves Jamaican then fine. its all about self service now, its funny how ppl back home don't give a damn about anything or anyones activities but in the diaspora everyone looking at each other?

People just live your life .

Hodan

HIV isn't transmitted through saliva. Here is what the experts say in how this virus can be transmitted.

How is HIV Transmitted?

HIV can be transmitted from an infected person to another through:
•Blood (including menstrual blood)
•Semen
•Vaginal secretions
•Breast milk

Blood contains the highest concentration of the virus, followed by semen, followed by vaginal fluids, followed by breast milk.

* Activities That Allow HIV Transmission
•Unprotected sexual contact
•Direct blood contact, including injection drug needles, blood transfusions, accidents in health care settings or certain blood products
•Mother to baby (before or during birth, or through breast milk)

Sexual intercourse (vaginal and anal): In the genitals and the rectum, HIV may infect the mucous membranes directly or enter through cuts and sores caused during intercourse (many of which would be unnoticed). Vaginal and anal intercourse is a high-risk practice.

Oral sex (mouth-penis, mouth-vagina): The mouth is an inhospitable environment for HIV (in semen, vaginal fluid or blood), meaning the risk of HIV transmission through the throat, gums, and oral membranes is lower than through vaginal or anal membranes. There are however, documented cases where HIV was transmitted orally, so we can’t say that getting HIV-infected semen, vaginal fluid or blood in the mouth is without risk. However, oral sex is considered a low risk practice.

Sharing injection needles: An injection needle can pass blood directly from one person’s bloodstream to another. It is a very efficient way to transmit a blood-borne virus. Sharing needles is considered a high-risk practice.

Mother to Child: It is possible for an HIV-infected mother to pass the virus directly before or during birth, or through breast milk. Breast milk contains HIV, and while small amounts of breast milk do not pose significant threat of infection to adults, it is a viable means of transmission to infants.

The following “bodily fluids” are NOT infectious:
•Saliva
•Tears
•Sweat
•Feces
•Urine

He is a huge ! liar, he created the story, i dont even think that 700 AIDS infected people ever gathered in one place in the history of aids let alone just somali girls.

can we have pics/reports showing huge number of Aids sufferers staying one place any where in the world ?
