anyway how hard is it to send a craft to mars. I'm sure we Somalis can do it in 8/9 years if we focus.

This has no useful scientific purpose at all. It is simply a national pride ambition. India was criticized for spending so much money on this endeavor when 300m of her people are shitting in the outdoors.

Re: India's Mangalyaan Successfully Enters Mars Orbit
Meanwhile, there are millions of street children in India, with poverty being the primary reason they leave home
There are thousands of street and working children who are in greater Delhi metropolitans areas...These vulnerable children have limited access to basic needs including food, clothing, education, and healthcare, they also are at agreater risk from substance misuse, HIV/AIDS and suffer from prosecution and stigma and whatnot.....In some slum areas of bhavnaga, india, over 2/3 of school age children miss out on an education that could lift them out of pverty and project them from child labour..There are UNICEF data that shows one in three malnourished children world wide are found in India, and a lot of the nation's children under the age of 5 are underweight.......Approximately 2.1 million indian kids die before the age of 5
This is all nice , but the $72M cost of that mission might feed those kids for an afternoon, would be better spent on projects to provide fresh water and sanitation to those living and dying in crushing poverty,..India needs to focus on eradicating poverty not sending rockets into space

China hasn't even claimed the crown of Superpower yet. India is nowhere near that title, even in India’s region, China has more authority.James Dahl wrote:India is the next world power guys, expect more great things from these guys

I orbited mars in 2004.#khat is illegal.
Re: India's Mangalyaan Successfully Enters Mars Orbit
This is what I don't understand about Indians, 3/4th of the population lives below the poverty line and earn less than $5 a day. But they'd find billion dollars to send a useless probe into Mars.
Messed up priority iga dheh.

Instead of wasting their money on these ''me too'' missions they should focus on at least eradicating extreme poverty from their country.
Leave space science to developed countries.
