Iska aamus, we should have let the Omanis claim Hobyo and shit in their hutu faces. WTF were they doing when others were fighting over their land?? That is the most perplexing thing here. Did they even exist? Or are Hutus the Oromo Galla Madoow that were evicted from Gaal-kacyo?thegoodshepherd wrote:Embarrassing is it not?? MJ men had primae nocte over hutu women for over 80 years

You have always used gaalo to even being mention in somali history on 3 different occasions.Righteous wrote:Too bad for you, the history of the Hobyo Sultanate is well documented. The Sultanate existed for 2 decades before the Italians even knew what Somalia was. I'd be ashamed too if I was a Hutu and found out my ancestors land was being fought over by Majeerteen and Ajnabis like Omanis. OMANIS, hairy arabs had plans to turn your land into a whorehouse ya axmaq son of a slave.
Anyhoo, as much as I'd love to give you a lesson on your pathetic, ignoble origins. I'd much rather hear news of Hutus attacking Puntland as they promised 3 days ago.
In late 1888, Sultan Kenadid entered into a treaty with Italy, making his kingdom a protectorate known as Italian Somaliland. His uncle and rival Boqor Osman would sign a similar agreement vis-a-vis his own Majeerteen Sultanate the following year. Both Sultan Kenadid and Boqor Osman had entered into the protectorate treaties to advance their own expansionist goals, with Kenadid looking to use Italy's support in his ongoing power struggle with Boqor Osman over the Majeerteen Sultanate, as well as in a separate conflict with the Sultan of Zanzibar over an area to the north of Warsheikh. In signing the agreements, the rulers also hoped to exploit the rival objectives of the European imperial powers so as to more effectively assure the continued independence of their territories.[5]
The terms of each treaty specified that Italy was to steer clear of any interference in the sultanates' respective administrations.[5] In return for Italian arms and an annual subsidy, the Sultans conceded to a minimum of oversight and economic concessions.[6] The Italians also agreed to dispatch a few ambassadors to promote both the sultanates' and their own interests.[5]
And he got exiled and never was he a Free to begin with..Kenadid returned from the Arabian Peninsula with a band of Hadhrami musketeers and a group of devoted lieutenants. With their assistance, he managed to overpower the local Hawiye clans and establish the kingdom of Hobyo
And Boqor Cismaan died in Italian jail in Rom..However, the relationship between Hobyo and Italy soured when Sultan Kenadid refused the Italians' proposal to allow a British contingent of troops to disembark in his Sultanate so that they might then pursue their battle against the Somali religious and nationalist leader Mohammed Abdullah Hassan's Dervish forces.[7] Viewed as too much of a threat by the Italians, Sultan Kenadid was eventually exiled to Aden in Yemen and then to Eritrea, as was his son Ali Yusuf, the heir apparent to his throne.[8] However, unlike the southern territories, the northern sultanates were not subject to direct rule due to the earlier treaties they had signed with the Italians

From a politico qabiil perspective, the fact that Sacad is warmly welcomed in Cadaado should be disconcerting for Puntland.![]()
Disconcerting? From an Economic Perspective, unless Saleebaan are completely stupid, they'll stay out of this. Don't forget that Salaabaan businessmen make their livelihoods off of transporting goods to Puntland to and from places like Hiiraan. They also use Bosaso to import goods, the last time Sacad and Saleebaan fought was because they were competing for the vast Puntland market. IF, they decide to attack Puntland together, we will just turn to Dir and Marehan truckers solely and then Saleebaan can eat sand and bullets with their kinsmen in whatever land remains under their joint control.

You forgot to mention the Sultanate was founded 1870. 2 decades of Majeerteen holding you hostage without an Italian in sight. It burns doesn't it
Habar Gaajo are broken inside, that's why they're always lying. This is what happens when your people have never experienced the joys and power associated with autonomy and self-rule. I'm done conversing with these untouchables, bro, pm me if they dare attack. Btw, have these untouchable Sacad gaajo collected the dead they ran away from in Godad a year ago? LMAO.thegoodshepherd wrote:how did Kenadiid use Italians to conquer Hobyo, when there were no Italians in the Horn of Africa??
It was in 1870 that Kenadiid conqured Hobyo with Hadrami mercenaries. He used mercenaries from Hadrmawt to subdue the hutus.
